I've been to many Subway locations, but this one hits
differently. First off, the ingredients here actually look
vibrant and fresh, not like they've been sitting under heat
lamps for an eternity. The bread had that perfect, subtle
crunch on the outside while staying soft inside—a rarity
these days.
While the food was a solid 5/5, the vibe and service were
more of a functional 4. It’s efficient, sure, but lacks
that cozy "stay a while" energy. It's the ideal spot if
you're on a mission for a high-quality meal but maybe
less so for a relaxed sit-down date. That said, the
precision in how they built my sub was impressive—no
sauce leaking everywhere, just a perfectly engineered
sandwich. Definitely adding this to my "reliable lunch"
rotation.

I have visited subway many times in Monaghan I don’t know why I keep wishing that it would get better, there was two woman working there today one with black hair and one with blonde. I ordered foot long subs and I only got half a scoop of meat on them, even though I politely said that it needs a bit more, I don’t mind paying either if it’s needed she gave me a dirty look and ignored me, then moved on to the salads, I asked for peppers and lettuce got 3 peppers on all the sandwich, and I said just a tiny bit of lettuce all my sandwich was packed with lettuce, ended up eating 2 bites of lettuce sandwich and this happens over and over again. The customer service is so so bad, every time I see the blonde woman working I don’t want to go in because I know she will be rude, she really hates her job. But today has really made me realise I don’t want to go back there. That’s my sandwich, literally the tiniest bit of meat that you can’t even taste.
I've been to this Subway quite a few times, and overall the food is always good. The shawarma sub is definitely my favourite—it's really tasty and one I'd recommend.
The staff experience depends on who serves you. There's a blonde lady with short hair who seems to expect customers to know exactly what they want before getting to the counter. If you know your order, she's quick and efficient, and I've never personally had an issue with her.
However, I've seen her come across as impatient with customers who are unsure or take a while to decide, which can make the experience feel a bit uncomfortable.
On the other hand, there's a lady with black hair, who I believe is the manager, and she's always been lovely and welcoming.
There's also a younger member of staff who's genuinely one of the nicest people I've met—she's always friendly, patient, and makes everyone feel welcome. She has such a positive attitude and really adds to the customer experience.
Overall, the food is consistently good, especially the shawarma sub, and most of the staff are fantastic.
My only criticism is that some customers may feel rushed if they're still deciding what they'd like to order.
Not sure if these girls are new or not but they are way too slow. We were waiting ages to be served and our food wasn’t even hot and we asked for it to be toasted. Needs extra training or quicken up a bit as only one girl serving for food while the other wasn’t doing anything.
Went in to subway today and was waiting for 15 minutes behind 1 customer whose food was going cold while the the staff member was playing around with lights under the till. The staff member also had a major attitude and just didn’t want to be there. 0/5 stars. Ended up going to McDonald’s instead and was still out with my food by the time the woman in front of me was finished 😂🥴
